What need we more than the soft sea air, sweet like an angel’s kiss?
The pictures say it all in Praiano, set on the Amalfi Coast. For those willing to take the scenic drive on a very windy road (not for the faint of heart), breathtaking views await. Just a few miles past Positano, this sacred, sweet, unassuming place finds its beauty in its people and the nature that surrounds it. Lemon trees, secret gardens, steep cliffs, and blue seas make this location the most magical of all the stops on our tour to date.
With only two days to spend here, we fall into lounging around the hotel pool and then on the second day, making plans for a boat tour of Capri.
We care not about anything except visceral pleasures: the wind, the water, the sun, food, and YES, more Prosecco! In Capri, we enjoy a lunch of fresh fish before finding our way to the sea where we take turns bathing in the warm Mediterranean waters. We head back to the coast at the end of the day arriving back at the hotel tan and tired.
“This is the life,” I declare. Zena agrees. There is so much to love about this place as we relive each and every experience from the last several weeks. For now, we say “Arrivederci.” Chow bella.
Next stop Scotland.
I hope you’ll tune in from time to time as I share bits and pieces of the next 45 day journey that will take me from NYC, to London, to Italy, to Scotland.
